Lakeview Center Welcomes Psychiatric
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Pensacola, Fla. (September 14, 2017) – Lakeview Center, Inc., is pleased to welcome John David Sheffield, PMHNP-BC to its organization.

In his Lakeview role, Sheffield works in the Melba B. Meyer Children's Services Center at the Lakeview Center campus seeing children for follow-up care, medical management and psychiatric evaluations. The center handles all outpatient services for children in one location.

Sheffield most recently served in the role of attending provider at an adult outpatient service location in Mobile, Alabama. He provided care for adults older than 18. Sheffield also has worked with children and adults in inpatient acute care settings, and as a nurse coordinator for the unit.

He has experience preparing daily assessments of psychiatric and medical conditions while working on an acute geriatric psychiatric unit, and is familiar with outpatient resources for the geriatric population.

He holds a Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama.
