In-Home / Onsite - Children
Lakeview Center is committed to community-based care to help our clients heal where they feel most comfortable, especially children. We provide therapeutic services in-home and on-site at schools or in the community for children ages 5 to 18 in the least restrictive, natural settings to avoid disruption in their lives.
Our Wrap Team provides intensive individual and family counseling as well as case management services to children and adolescents who display severe social behavioral difficulties. We serve children in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and reach out to them in homes, schools and daycare settings so as to help reduce or eliminate the need for acute hospitalizations. Children must be at high risk of acute hospitalization and meet additional criteria. Please call us for those details. Our goal is to foster family and individual behaviors to help the child or adolescent become successful in the current environment where they live. For more information about Wrap Team call 850.469.3869.
School Overlay Services
Lakeview Center has school-based services contracts which allow us to serve children in Escambia and Santa Rosa county schools. We serve them in the least restrictive settings while providing cost-effective treatment at elementary, middle and high schools. In Escambia County schools we offer outpatient overlay services to students who don’t have an overlay counselor and are classified as ESE (exceptional student education) students which includes emotionally behavioral disabled, learning disabled and gifted children from the ages of 4 to 22. In Santa Rosa County schools we serve all students at all district schools.
By providing services in the school setting, where many of these behaviors happen, counselors can observe our young clients and work with them and school personnel on behavioral interventions. Our goal is to help these students function better in school, but also to generalize their behavior in social settings outside of school. We support school staff in how to meet ESE students’ needs and decrease referral and suspension rates.
These children are referred by the district for mental health services. Our services are provided during times based on the school calendars. For more information about School Overlay Services call 850.469.3862.
Community Action Team (CAT)

CAT services are provided in a supportive and interactive manner and directed toward maintaining or restoring positive family relationships. CAT provides the following services within the home: nursing, case management, and individual and family therapy. CAT clients are frequently seen by the psychiatrist or psychiatrist ARNP to meet the needs of our clients and their families. We serve children in Escambia County and reach out to them in homes, schools and daycare settings to help reduce or eliminate the need for acute hospitalizations, reduce contact with law enforcement, improve school functioning and improve family and community functioning. Our goal is to foster family and individual behaviors to help the child or adolescent and the their family become successful in the current environment where they live.
