Charles Beall has served on the Lakeview Center board of directors since 2005, bringing more than two decades of thoughtful leadership, steady guidance and deep commitment to the organization’s mission.
Raised in Pensacola and an attorney by profession, Charles’ father served on the Lakeview Center board in the 1990s, and Charles grew up hearing about the organization’s impact.
For Charles, Lakeview Center’s mission is more important now than ever. He recognizes mental health and substance use as some of the most pressing challenges facing our nation and local community.
“Lakeview Center has been at the very forefront of addressing those needs for decades,” he said. “It fulfills a need in this community at a level that is unmatched.”
Over the years, Charles has witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of Lakeview Center’s services. One moment that stands out was hearing from a former patient during a board meeting.
“Seeing firsthand how the right care, at the right time, can truly transform someone’s life is what makes Lakeview Center’s work so meaningful.”
Throughout his tenure, Charles has focused on helping ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of the organization. “If an organization like Lakeview Center were to go away, this community would suffer in ways people may not fully realize,” he said.
Charles is also proud of the stability and continuity he has seen throughout his time on the board. While the organization has grown and evolved, its mission has remained constant, and its leadership has consistently stayed connected to the purpose of serving individuals and families in need.
“Lakeview Center is a crown jewel of this community,” Charles shared. “It touches thousands of lives every year, and it is an honor to play even a small part in supporting that work.
