Medication management

Medication management is a process where we collaborate with you to discuss symptom changes and side effects to ensure safe and effective use of your medications. Together, we will build a good medication history for you. Then, we can review dosage, frequency, over-the-counter and herbal or complementary medications, as well as prescription drugs and substance use information, including alcohol, nicotine and illicit drugs. All of these components can impact effective medication usage. There may be a need to prescribe, discontinue or adjust medications. The goal is to maximize the benefits while minimizing the side effects.
