Outpatient counseling
When you or a loved one is coping with a mental health issue – such as anxiety, depression or grief – outpatient counseling can be a wonderful resource.
We provide diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders to help people overcome behavioral health challenges. Our specialized caregivers conduct evaluations and assessments, then work with you to personalize a treatment plan that meets your needs. Counseling and therapy are provided in both individual and group settings. We also provide outpatient counseling for children, as well as specialized care for veterans in partnership with Home Base Florida.
Examples of evidence-based therapies may include:
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy helps you develop a strength-based perspective of your recovery so that you can change behaviors. The goal of this treatment is to help you discover a better quality of life.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you understand how your feelings and thoughts are affecting the behavioral choices you are making. We provide solutions to help you more clearly see the connection between the two.

Telehealth or virtual visits
We know that making behavioral health care convenient and accessible means more people are able to get the treatment they deserve. Our Mission of “helping people” means being there for you, if and when you need us.
Lakeview Center offers an array of mental health care and substance misuse treatment for adults and children. Many of our programs include options for both in-person and virtual appointments.
If you have a computer, tablet or smartphone, our team can help you set up and use telehealth for assessment, counseling, psychiatric and medication management appointments. Whether you access care virtually on in-person, we will work with you to provide services based on your needs.
Psychiatry and prescriptions services
Some behavioral health conditions require treatment using medications, in addition to outpatient counseling and support care. Your health care provider will work with you to develop a case plan that outlines treatments, possibly including medications/prescriptions.

For those who need a more specialized level of psychiatric support beyond outpatient appointments, Lakeview Center offers intensive-outpatient care and residential treatment in a variety of settings.
