Pensacola, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2023) – Lakeview Center Autism Care program received full accreditation from the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). Accreditation recognizes and supports high standards for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy care for children on the autism spectrum.
BHCOE Accreditation standards focus on state-of-the-art performance improvement strategies that help ABA organizations continuously improve. Since the Autism Program received full accreditation means added benefits to help Lakeview providers ensure quality, sustainability and access while supporting program and agency goals. In addition, Accreditation demonstrates that a practice has integrity, is sustainable, offers high client satisfaction, and is at the forefront of effective treatment. Additionally, data also shows that accredited programs generally have higher client satisfaction scores and lower staff turnover.
“Not only does accreditation confirm our program provides high standards of quality care for the children and families we serve, but it also benefits our staff through education,” said Dana Wilmot, program director. “Accreditation reinforces our commitment to the residents of Northwest Florida.”
The Lakeview Center Autism Care program provides specialized care for young people ages 2 to 21 who are on the autism spectrum. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific discipline that looks at behavior trends. The principles of ABA guide clinicians toward improving a child’s ability to function at a level appropriate to that individual child.
