The Krewe of Andres de Pez in Pensacola hosted a fundraiser supporting crisis mental health care in our community and graciously selected Lakeview Center as the beneficiary!

The Krewe of Andres de Pez is named for the Spanish conquistador Admiral Andres de Pez, credited for leading the Spanish expedition that would become the first successful European colonization of Pensacola. Celebrating the history and culture of the Pensacola community, this all-male Krewe fosters an environment of brotherhood and heartfelt philanthropy endeavors.

Led by the Admirals, representing the Krewe’s 25 years of leadership, this October event on Pensacola Beach was held in memory of Admiral VI, Matt Adkins, 1976-2022

The philanthropic event raised $2,130, which will directly support crisis mental health care from the Lakeview Center Mobile Response Team (MRT).

Lakeview Center’s MRT provides a 24/7 support hotline for those experiencing a mental health crisis in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. MRT is available to help either over the phone or by coming to you in-person when needed. In addition to serving individuals, MRT partners with local law enforcement, schools, emergency rooms and other providers.

Following a crisis, MRT provides after-care to ensure a smooth transition to the appropriate support services, such as substance misuse treatment, psychiatric care, trauma counseling or any of Lakeview Center’s 60+ programs across Northwest Florida.

As the need for mental health crisis care continues to grow, our Mobile Response Team is here – providing 24/7 support, either by phone or in-person. Because of the time, energy, dedication and enthusiasm this generous group of men has devoted, community members in need of crisis mental health care will be able to access the resources they need.
