Mack Moore named director of Avalon Center at Lakeview

Milton, Fla. (Jan.7, 2025) – Mack Moore has been named director of Lakeview’s Avalon Center in Milton, where he will oversee mental health and substance misuse programs. Moore, a 27-year veteran of Lakeview Center, brings extensive experience in behavioral health and crisis intervention.


As director of Avalon, Moore will manage outpatient services designed to support adults and children in Santa Rosa County. Lakeview’s Avalon Center provides trauma-informed care and substance misuse treatment, including individual, group and family counseling. Master’s-level therapists work with clients to create personalized treatment plans that promote healing and long-term health.


Moore began his career at Lakeview Center in 1997 as a crisis line coordinator, where he developed training programs for helpline volunteers and provided crisis intervention services. Over the years, he served as teen line coordinator, director of victim services, and director of adult outpatient counseling. Moore is a former certified victim advocate and served on the board of the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, including as treasurer from 2016 to 2019.


A graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Moore is passionate about supporting individuals in crisis and improving access to behavioral health care.
