Pensacola, Fla. (May 16, 2023) – Nero Randolph is a 2022-2023 Leadership Walton graduate. He works as a community action team mentor/behavior tech at Lakeview Center of Walton County. Nero graduated with other emerging leaders from the area. The leadership learning opportunity positions participants to add value in their organizations and communities.
“Nero has a genuine passion for helping others, which aligns perfectly with our mission,” said Tia Guidry, LMHC, director of Lakeview Center of Walton County. “In addition to this achievement, he has been recognized as the employee of the month multiple times for going above and beyond to serve our community.”
A career in mental health
Nero began working as a community mental health provider at Lakeview Center of Walton County, in September 2014. Back then, the organization name was Chautauqua Healthcare Services. He enjoys providing support, mentorship and services to at-risk youth and their families.
Previously, Nero worked in radiology at a hospital in south Florida. In Walton County, Nero has been involved in United Way, Kiwanis Club, and the Boys and Girls Club. He also served on the Sunshine Committee to promote reward and recognition of fellow providers. Nero enjoys helping with events and other forms of community service. He also has a special passion for providing LGBTQ education and support to young persons.
Leadership Walton graduate hopes for the future
Nero wants others to be motivated by the work he does to ignite a passion for volunteering. He’s hopeful that opportunities like Leadership Walton will help emerging leaders learn how to resolve pressing issues facing Walton County such as transportation, housing and employment opportunities.
Leadership Walton is an annual opportunity provided by the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce. The program uses a unique and innovative approach to the traditional community-based leadership model. The goal is to help emerging leaders develop individual leadership styles, entrepreneurial skills and team-building skills.
