Residential (Children)

Lakeview Center uses proven protocols to address substance abuse in young people. We can help them heal by looking at the contributing issues and guide them toward a good quality of life. Our goal is to help them progress toward a positive outcome and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Drug and Alcohol Adolescent Residential Treatment (DAART)

Young people between the ages of 13 and 17 who are coping with co-occurring issues such as substance abuse and mental health can find support in this residential treatment program. DAART serves not only to encourage and motivate children, but also their families. On average, stays in our program last three to six months. We also are prepared for children who experience relapse and need to stay longer. The program is structured and focuses on personal growth and development using cognitive-behavioral therapy and individual, group and family therapies. It is less restrictive than inpatient programs: coed, voluntary and unlocked. A daily schedule of events and treatments keep our young clients busy and on the path to recovery. DAART is an accredited school located on the Lakeview campus that serves clients who attend the school as part of their structured activities. Children who are enrolled in school are required to attend. Teachers are from the Escambia County School System. All programs at DAART are evidence-based treatments and our staff members keep pace with empirically based best practices.
