Many behavioral health conditions can be successfully treated through outpatient care for kids and teens.

Lakeview Center provides outpatient counseling for children and adolescents in both individual and group therapy settings. For those needing psychiatric evaluations, support or medication management, our medical staff provides services at locations across Northwest Florida, with telehealth appointments also available.

Our programs serve a range of needs, including mental health issues, as well as substance misuse.

Outpatient counseling

Outpatient counseling services are available for children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 years old. Our counselors meet with individuals and children in traditional office and group therapy settings. We also provide psycho-educational groups. Staff have various specialties and work with youth in our care to overcome life’s challenges.

Psychiatric support and medications

Some behavioral health conditions are best treated with medications, in addition to outpatient counseling and support care. Our medical staff will work with you and your child to develop a treatment plan that best meets your needs. We offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management and prescription services at locations across Northwest Florida, with telehealth appointments also available.

Outpatient psychiatric support is designed to be convenient and accessible so families can get the mental health care they need.

Substance misuse

Substance misuse doesn’t only happen among adults. Life comes with challenges, and some young people turn to drug or alcohol misuse as a means of escaping or coping.

Lakeview Center counselors are trained in addressing substance misuse among children, as well as mental health struggles that may go along with addiction.

Community-based and residential care for children

If a child struggles with mental health issues and needs the next level of care beyond outpatient counseling, Lakeview Center offers community-based and residential programs for children.

Our community-based programs also bring much-needed services to schools and family homes, removing barriers to treatment so children can get the help they need in settings where they feel most comfortable.
